LIGHTHOUSE PRAYER MINISTRY (MCCPF) Founded 1954.

Our object has been “The Advancement of Christ’s Kingdom into all the World”
LIGHTHOUSE PRAYER MINISTRY (MCCPF)
#####################################
grew out of the Saffron Walden Baptist Sunday School and Young People’s Fellowship in the mid 1950’s and Saffron Walden and District Youth for Christ from the same period. Since then the LORD enabling us we have reached out through various team projects to over 170 countries. We have no bank account, no committee, just a group of friends from various churches who have provided money in cash, or cheques to me, various resource materials to send out, and prayer support, and other friends online who pray too. We rely upon God the Holy Spirit to work through us as He desires, and to God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit all credit, gratitude and praise is due.
IN THE UK

Building on House to House distribution in Saffron Walden from 2003 - 2009 when for some of the time I was General Secretary of Churches Together, using NEW LIFE Newspaper, THE VOICE and VIA, last year I visited 8 villages in Uttlesford and some other locations in East Anglia, and then this summer I have distributed house to house in 11 Uttlesford villages and 6 other locations in East Anglia several more thousand copies of VIA Gospel message magazine. This is published by Brethren Christians in Canada, Money has been donated to pay the carriage costs for 8,800 more VIA, so DV, I may continue next year distributing VIA in other parts of Uttlesford.
Booklets, Gospels, Our Daily Bread, and Tracts
########################################
We now use a Gospel of John with a Lighthouse Lantern pictured on the front in the New King James Version, 1982, issued by the Scottish Bible Society and purchased from the Open Air Mission with a reply card available to them for assistance. These past 2 years I have also left SGM booklets on tables at cafe's as a tip, Gospels in the public shelters on the cliffs at Clacton, bus shelters in various places, at several telephone boxes, and in the letter boxes of a Mosque and a Spiritualist Church advertising séances, and pinned tract messages on several public notice boards.
Alongside and following up literature At Takeley I gave a copy of VIA to and had a two hour conversation with, a young back packer who had flown into nearby Stansted Airport from Spain to visit friends. He had sat down in the Airport Lounge and taken his jacket off and fallen asleep. When he woke up his jacket had been stolen with his wallet in it. He had his passport OK but was held up waiting to get more money through the following Monday. I found him on a seat in the graveyard of Holy Trinity Church. He had been able to land a temporary job cutting the grass and tidying the church yard in exchange for food and was camping in his own sleeping bag and tent.
Also at Takeley I found a mobile home park with 140 units and a local Christian told me that her church had distributed leaflets there and visited and she was pleased that I had distributed there too. After each of my 38 visits this year there has been additional activity on our web board site, varying from a low of 25 to a high of 79. and an average in the mid-60's so there is interest out there. The labels in VIA and the Gospels commend the address, phone, and website of Christian Enquiry Agency. On Nov 10th they re-launched their site www.christianity.org.uk Try it out
Also make known to everyone the BBC 4-part pre-Christmas series THE NATIVITY. Details on this Christian Enquiry Agency site. We are sending 30 copies of Gospel Gems Calendars ( GG ) this year to selected people. We started doing this decades ago when they cost 6d each [ 3p ] and now they cost 75p each.
NEW OUTREACH
#################
Thaxted Baptist Church after a 16 months of praying seeking the LORD's will, including on site prayer walks, distributed an invitation to all the 500 homes, built over the past 3 years at the new village of Prior's Green on the Takeley/Canfield border to which I distributed VIA in September, inviting anyone there interested to a meeting at the Neighbourhood Centre with a view to beginning a Christian group that might grow into a new Church plant. So on October 28th 2010, 15 people met some from Great and Little Canfield, some from Takeley, some from Thaxted , two from Prior's Green Estate, and me. We introduced each other, discussed and prayed together and agreed to establish a monthly prayer group at the Centre in a hired room. So let us continue to pray that God the Holy Spirit will work there drawing Christians together and non believers to the LORD.
