THE PRAYER NEWS JANUARY 2022
THE LIGHTHOUSE PRAYER MINISTRY
founded 1954.
35 Four Acres, Saffron Walden. Essex, CB11 3JD, ENGLAND. UK
ETHIOPIA We have continued from March 2020 to send help monthly for Ayele and his 3 siblings and his Pastor Abrahem but due to the drought, the civil war and inflation 10 kilos of grain enough to feed them for 10 days costs £50. So they fast a lot and eat a meal alternate days until it runs out.
EGYPT Twice a year from another source I send a donation to Stephen’s Children a mission charity working with orphans and poor families in Egypt. In the summer we thus fund a couple of children to go to Summer Bible Camp and get a free Bible and at Christmas for food parcels. They provide a Prayer News letter alternate months. Their address is Stephen’s Children, PO Box 1022 Horsham RH12 9TU FACEBOOK.stephenschildrenuk.
GHANA from Robert Amusu we received this message recently “Hello good morning Dear John I trust that this mail finds you in good health; over here we are all doing fine. Glory is to God! From last week we started reaching out to absentee members of our church, we have been able to see quite a number of them, they have issues ranging from job losses, failing health, shelter and societal troubles which has been a worry to livelihoods for them. Well we prayed with them, and have been praying for the Lord to intervene in their situations. Talking about the job losses, there is a major road construction that has affected many women selling along the road, so they have nowhere to display their goods to attract buyers. But we made a suggestion for them to carry their goods in smaller quantities moving from house to house in the community so they can be able to sell to make ends meet. In Ghana it is widely allowed to sell this way, while we keep them in our prayer too. On the matter about failing health, a member was diagnosed of diabetes, he lives alone and was a casual in some poultry farm which folded up months ago. We prayed for him too, and suggested to him to return to his home town, a rural settlement along the road to Sunyani where he has family, here he will be able to have good diet, fresh and organic foods that will help in managing that disease. He`s agreed to go, but we had to try to provide some money for his transportation, luggage and also some medication for some weeks before he can adjust back into life at the village. 2 colleagues in my office put up the money. With shelter, there`s a preacher who lived along the bank of a river but lost it to the floods of the heavy rains in September For him, the church got a place for him to resettle and yesterday, he joined the evening Bible school again. Some few other absentees were in Church on Sunday too. These are some challenges some Christians are faced with on daily basis, but as a church we have a duty to be closer to our members, in prayer and also physically check on people from time to time so they do not lose faith. This we will be doing all through before the convention at Christmas. I will be in Breman Asikuma with my family at Christmas, and will come back Kumasi in the New Year. The harvest is plenty, the labourers are few, (Matt 9:37) but through Christ who strengthens us everyday, we will be able to do it to His glory. Amen, Stay strong and blessed, Robert. Lighthouse PM have funded Bibles there this year.
MALAWI ENOCK DIMBA REPORTING IN LATE NOVEMBER told us that the country had been receiving heavy rains with stormy winds which has damaged many homes, schools, churches and other buildings and left many injured and caused some deaths
This bad weather has not spared the orphanage, farm and the campus, two of their 3 windmills have been damaged and are urgently in need of repair because they only have remaining with one windmill and 3 solar system which are working, to keep crops healthy and we really need all pumps to be working as even at the fish pond needs to have fresh water for the fish. We also have the, school class rooms, Pastors house, staff houses, the orphanage and the school office, school books and equipment and the goat house damaged
Below are the cost of repairing the damaged buildings and pumps at the orphanage:-
Two Windmills (water Pumps) £1, 200, School class rooms £9, 000,
Pastors house £750, Orphanage and School office £800, School books and equipment £2 750,
Goat house on the farm £ 350, Please pray for God’s provision in all of £23, 350, so that all things should be normal at the orphanage, farm and campus, and children should resume studies from Jan 4th. It is a great setback. Clearly a miracle of help is needed. We have sent £125, all we had spare. Saffron Walden Baptist Church committed to give half their Christmas Charity Appeal £217 but lots more will be needed.
We funded our 20th Bike for a pastor this month, They need 770 eight years ago, to su8pply 70 overseers and 700 pastors and have whittled that down to 44, and 3 of the overseers each have a miracle, a motor bike. We supplied a Christmas Message translated into the local language and distributed to the teenagers and staff and read out at the Christmas Day service.
MALAYSIA Maushwe Chosah lives in exile where he is a part time missionary and does a job to keep alive. But his native land is Myanmar, and he would like to go back there as a full time minister, but has no Church or Mission to back him. I have told him to do what he can where he is and ask the LORD to show him a way of reaching people in his native land as there are ways and means. I cannot help him financially as I have more on hand now and cannot tackle any more. I have told him if he finds anything on our Web board site that he can use in English or translate, to go ahead and use it, as others have done.
NIGERIA a letter I recently received ;- Dear minister of the True Gospel Calvary greetings from the throne of grace to you in Jesus wonderful name I sincerely thank you for sending me 250 Bibles. We have finished the distribution of the Bibles and I must tell you people start confessing that the Bible has blessed their family, church members and friends immensely and has brought us closer to God more than ever before. It has ignited our prayer life and helped us impact other Christian lives. Please continue this work . May God continue to meet all your needs. we too are praying for you as well thanks. Yours for his love , Pastor Obi Nnas. He will need some more as will Pastor Patricia Chi but first we need to supply Pastor.Ifys Obi. He wrote in September asking for 380, costing £476. These are all for new converts. We have this month funded 250.
INDIA we sent £50 to ECHO OF HIS CALL MINISTRIES in Chennai [ Formerly Madras ] towards the £2500 they need to re-roof their headquarters and the home of their founder and trustees which was damaged earlier this year in a severe typhoon.

PAKISTAN PATRAS has asked for £1,200 to fund 200 Audio Bibles in Urdu at £6 each for people who cannot read or write, and 9 of them are blind. So we have funded such a machine to the 9 blind people, and eventually would like to help the others, but we have been paying him since March 2020 from designated income to buy food for 14 in his family as he remains unemployed as the school where he is an Administrative Clerk which cannot yet reopen cannot pay his salary. They should have reopened in August but Lock Down prevented it and they have run out of money. They now hope to reopen in January and would resume paying him a salary when the parents pay in the School fees. We have paid the November and December grants and now we have run out of money. His friend in Wales who has been transferring the money to his bank account via his mobile phone has had to stop as he is on Universal Credit and they have asked why he is receiving £160 a month and where has it been going, and they have cut his credit. Patras and his son Laraib who has had to give up his University course as they have no spare money, operate SSHMP Serve the Suffering Humanity Ministry Pakistan. If anyone reading this is able and willing to help fund the Audio Bibles or relay money contact me so I can pass to you his account details to transfer money to him. This month we have funded for them 20 Audio Bibles for brick workers at the Brick Kiln who are illiterate. They are also asking for 5000 printed Bibles in Urdu, [ cost £30,000 – alas out of our league. ]
TAJIKISTAN There are few Christians in this land and amongst one tribe of 20,000 YAGNOBI people there are none, and no Bible or New Testament in their language and most cannot understand any other language.
UZBEKISTAN 30 years ago we sent an illustrated children’s Bible to the son of the Curator of the National Museum on request, There were then no known Christians in that country. It is heartening to read recently that there are now over 4,500. I’m not claiming any link with the Bible sent. We are to pray that God will raise up pastors and evangelists from amongst them.
