CURRENT POLICY

After a couple of months with no money left in the kitty and our work suspended we now have some more income and will resume with a revised programme. There are about 5 of us who fund this venture, 3 in Walden,1 in Kent 1 in Yorkshire, and two or three less regular and about 6 others who support in prayer.
1.The biggest change we no longer send The WORD for TODAY to local teenagers and overseas contacts,. That was costing £325 a year. The young people have been asked to get there’s direct from the publisher, and all the overseas contacts have been transferred to RBC International to receive OUR DAILY BREAD direct from them
2.We resumed distributing the NEW LIFE NEWS paper in December. Once a quarter that goes to about 40 homes on my paper round where I know there are teenagers and two older people receive it monthly.
The rest normally 100 on other months is being distributed as a once off outreach to all the homes in Walden, with a flier leaflet providing the times of morning worship of the 7 Protestant Churches, that is not the RC or the Friends who don’t like it, phone contact numbers, Church web site addresses, and that of several national Christian web sites. Also the address of the Christian Enquiry Agency.
Folk receiving the paper are invited to subscribe to the publishers to have it regularly. This outreach begun in 2003 and destined to end in 2010 is aimed to reach with the gospel every person who live in Walden at least once. Some 16,000 people and particularly the 13, 000 not reached by the normal activities of the 9 church congregations. We are for the next few months distributing over the 2 main Southern estates
3.Various friends associated with us send people overseas, READERS DIGEST, NEWS WEEK and WAR CRY. Through the year we also meet requests from Ghana, Zambia, Uganda, and Malawi for cassettes, used Bible Reading notes, Bibles, and Christian literature for wider distribution.
During the past two years we have also funded the various posters and leaflets for Churches Together in Saffron Walden
We have distributed VOICE magazine and VIA magazine to several hundred homes on the Northern estates which the New Life Church distributed NEWS LIFE NEWS to several ,years ago. So this past year we have reached 1500 homes and so far have reached about half the 6000 homes in Walden, and all the new housing areas have now had 1 visit.
We also fund a Ministry of Encouragement using introductory copies and special editions of OUR DAILY BREAD and Discovery booklets and Living Words(SGM) booklets, calendars letters, cards, poems, cassettes, images ..to sick, bereaved, ill, depressed, imprisoned,
7.We also put posts on our own web site lhpm.proboards75.com/ and on several other adult friends web sites based in the south western USA linking to other Christian web sites.
We have been asked to pray for the following people.

Richard & Sarah Lubale report from Jinja that they now have a van for enabling them to extend their range of ministry in organising AIDS awareness courses, and providing help to AIDS sufferers and their children as they become orphans. They run ACCOD (NGO Registered No S5914/4656) which is short for Alpha Childcare and
Community Development Organisation. A leaflet we issued for them some years ago has led to a number of people contacting and helping them. They are now helping 800 children with educational support and medical care The last grant we were able to send them provided clothing for 15 children. They have in their care 200 children who for lack of funds cannot go to school. £60 a year would pay for a child to go to school. An organisation in Holland is helping them financially for several years ahead and that will support 160 other children and 36 families. Richard and Sarah also have 3 children of their own. Matthew in his 8th year, Mark in his 5th and Martha in her third.
