oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
JANUARY 6 – 12. JESUS AT THE CENTRE
Let us recognise that Jesus is the centre to our personal life, our family life, our work place life, the life of our local community, our local congregation, our Church groups.
Jesus is the only true head and leader of our Church, before all things and in all things.
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
JANUARY 13 – 19 Pioneering Proclaimers of the Gospel
www.incarnate.network.eu/
Jesus has called every one of us individuals to engage in mission for Him. We each answer to Him. He has called, us, chosen us, commands us and has commissioned us, for mission. Not just giving to missionary societies, but to share in mission reaching out to those about us, family, friends, neighbours, wider community - accepting opportunities and creating them, to make God's word , the Gospel, the love of Christ Jesus, made known in deed and word.
For us as Baptists we must have mission at the centre, the heart of every church, college association and at BUGB HQ at Didcot, and in the European Baptist Federation and the Baptist World Alliance.

We need to engage and win to Christ children. Around 80% of the Christian population became Christians by the age of 12.
This Spring the Baptist Union will be launching a series of Road Shows in partnership with ARISE MINISTRIES called TODAY NOT TOMORROW to help churches examine the ways in which they nurture and develop disciples of all ages.
“We believe it is about empowering children and young people to play the part God is calling them to, in the Church, right now” says Ed Jones of Arise. We want to see lives changed today,

AT SAFFRON WALDEN BAPTIST CHURCH we have a sparsely attended meeting for Prayer on Sunday evenings from 7pm to approximately 8pm in which we praye for many people and issues.
Sometimes only 1 person turns up, often just 2. The most was 11 eighteen months ago except for the day they met to discuss a call to a new minister when about 25-30 turned up, but it was back to 2 the following week.
So there would be room for anyone to join us, in ROOM 4 , and it would be lovely to have a few more at least. In 1851 150 attended but in those days people understood the importance of prayer, and they had many conversions and baptisms, Today few are converted and even fewer baptised.
Then is it surprising if we don't pray regularly for both?
